Appearance: Short in stature but robust in build, Yhen works hard to keep himself fit. Freckles can be frequently seen covering parts of his body, typically his face, chest, and shoulders. Aside from the freckles, a scar crosses over his nose as well. As is typical of Seekers his eyes are different colours, though a bit more subtle in being different hues of blue. While he previously had longer hair, over time it's been cut shorter and shorter, it however does frequently grow out.Distinguishing Features: He always is seen with either a bell collar or a set of golden ear cuffs on his ears. He can almost always be found with an axe as big as himself, hinting that he is stronger than his already sturdy frame suggests. Despite being born in Limsa, he seems to lack the accent. With his midriff exposed, one could see a scar over his abs and a matching one at his lower back. Upon his shoulders two differing sets of bite scars from each of his mates.Personality: Yhen is very open, energetic, and friendly when it comes to most kinds of interaction. While he might be a bit unaware when it comes to jokes or innuendo. He takes most things at face value, but he can still sense if he is being deceived.
The History
Born to the Hipparion, or "K", clan and given the name K'yalwann.He was not born from the clan's nunh, rather his father was a tia. As such he was not given a surname at birth.There was an agreement with the nunh that the father was allowed to stay for three years before being exiled. The nunh let K’yalwann and his mother remain with the tribe.He would become part of the Marauder's Guild and properly learn to wield a great axe, eventually learning the ways of a Warrior from another in his tribe.Once the Grand Companies were reinstated for the war against the Garlean Empire, he joined with the Maelstom. Though absent during the eventual Battle of Carteneau, K'yalwann was with his tribe as the moon fell. The brief and ruinous freedom of Bahamut was something he witnessed first hand.His mother saved him by using some form of magick to teleport him safely away to the Shroud as Bahamut devastated the area. He would fall under the care of a Keeper of the Moon tribe for the next few years and come to gain the name Yhen, which he would eventually come to prefer going by.As the realm rebuilt itself over the next 5 years Yhen spent time with the Keepers, attempted to find any sign of his tribe, and continued his work within the Maelstrom. At the time many consider to be the realm’s rebirth, he would take on and train an adventurer named Larry Bearry.In present times Yhen would lend his assistance to Operation Archon, the defense of the Holy See against the Dravanian Horde, the operations leading up to and including the liberation of Ala Mhigo, and the battle of the Ghimlyt Dark. There he would also assist in stopping a crimson Garlean Weapon, though he would nearly lose his life in doing so.Though he would survive the encounter, his wounds and eventual scars would lead to the Maelstrom command's decision to remove him from active duty.He instead found work as security working for the Red Lantern until he was returned to active duty once the Grand Company of Eorzea had decided to liberate Garlemald from the Telophoroi.

I won't really put too much here because I'm not super interesting \owo/ You can call me Yew btw!I've been roleplaying for about nine years at this point, the most I will expect out of an RP partner is proper RP etiquette (no godmodding, no RPing for my character), and using proper grammar and punctuation! I usually go for at least a paragraph or so, or maybe up to two or three replies with the text limit in game. But there is nothing wrong with just one reply!Also as a note on my character's gender, yes Yhen is trans. He is comfortable in his body and has no plans on transitioning into being a male (aka using a male player model). While I know such a choice may rub some the wrong way as it does not portray gender dysphoria, it is my belief that no matter what you look like on the outside you should always be called what you prefer. After all, not everyone in our world has the means to transition, some places it is even illegal, but just because you may not look like your preferred gender on the outside, you are no less valid! It is my hope that anyone going through that who interacts with Yhen will feel at least a little more at ease and a little happier <3Also hey, want to see some art?

Maelstrom OfficerYhen holds the rank of Captain under the flag of the Maelstrom and has served since its reformation shortly before the Seventh Umbral Calamity. Through them he has served and aided in the defense of Ishgard against Nidhogg's hoard, the liberation of Ala Mhigo, the Ghimlyt Dark campaign, the disabling of the Ruby Weapon, and most recently the liberation of Garlemald.Magically Inept and Aethericly DenseHe tends to be quite easily impressed by any sort of magic, as it appears he has little grasp of how to use any form of it himself. Those with any ability to see aether might note how densely packed it is within his body.On the K TribeYhen's sect of his tribe appeared to be wiped out during the seventh calamity. Of what he can recall it was a (relatively) recent breakaway from a larger tribe that may yet still remain.Shroud ConnectionsFollowing the calamity Yhen spent the interim years around Gridania as the realm rebuilt, and it is where he makes his current home. Then and now his red hair and tanned skin stood out among the pale to grey to blue hues commonly associated with Keepers. One can assume by his fangs and the ease of which he gets along with Keepers that there might have been some mixed of heritage in his family.Metal WorkingA skill learned in his early years with his tribe, Yhen has some experience with blacksmithing, be it with armor, weapons, or some general and basic equipment.The quick way to his heartIs through his stomach! Though Yhen stays in shape, he has a hard time turning away good food, especially sweets or anything involving rolanberries. An extra malm to his morning runs is a price he'd gladly pay for a great meal.
